At Speed Warehouse Trailers, deposits allow customers to reserve inventory, secure incoming trailers, or begin the process of building a custom trailer designed specifically for their needs. Because each situation is different, deposit amounts and refundability may vary depending on the type of trailer being reserved.
Lot Inventory Deposits
A $200 deposit is typically required to place a hold on a trailer that is physically in our current inventory.
This deposit temporarily removes the trailer from availability while the customer arranges financing, pickup, travel, or delivery. Holds are typically for up to 7 days unless the customer has made other arrangements.
If a customer reserves a trailer and later decides not to move forward with the purchase or fails to follow through as agreed, the deposit is non-refundable due to the trailer being held off the market during that time.
However, if the customer arrives to inspect the trailer and feels it does not reasonably meet expectations based on the listing, description, or photos provided, the deposit may be refunded.
Incoming Stock Trailer Deposits
A $500 deposit is typically required to reserve a trailer that has already been ordered for dealership inventory but has not yet arrived.
Because these trailers are often reserved weeks in advance and removed from availability prior to arrival, a larger deposit is required to secure the unit and offset the increased risk of missed sales opportunities while the trailer is being held for a specific customer.
Once the trailer arrives on the Speed Warehouse lot, customers are typically allowed 7 days to arrange pickup or delivery unless other arrangements have been made.
As with lot inventory deposits, if the customer ultimately does not complete the purchase after reserving the trailer, the deposit is non-refundable. If the trailer arrives and does not reasonably meet expectations based on the agreed specifications or representation, the deposit may be refunded.
Estimated arrival dates provided by manufacturers and transport companies are subject to change and are not guaranteed.
Special Order Deposits
Special order trailers are custom-built specifically for an individual customer based on requested sizes, layouts, colors, features, options, and intended use.
Because these trailers are often uniquely tailored to a customer's specifications, deposit amounts vary depending on how specialized the build is.
Examples may include:
- Standard builds with minor modifications
- Unique layouts or race packages
- Custom colors or water packages
- Non-standard dimensions or options
Some special orders may require a modest deposit, while highly customized trailers may require a substantial deposit or full payment in advance before production begins.
Special order deposits are non-refundable once the order has been submitted to the manufacturer and production materials have been allocated.
In the event a manufacturer is unable to complete the trailer as ordered, or significant build issues occur that cannot reasonably be corrected within an acceptable timeframe, deposit refund considerations may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
