At Speed Warehouse Trailers, every trailer goes through a detailed check-in and inspection process before being offered for sale. However, customers should also thoroughly inspect their trailer at pickup or delivery to confirm it meets their expectations and that all ordered features and options are correct.
Because trailers are titled vehicles and ownership documents are transferred at the time of sale, we do not offer a general return policy once a trailer has been accepted by the customer.
If an issue is identified prior to pickup or delivery, our team will work with the customer and manufacturer, when applicable, to help address the concern.
What Is an MSO?
An MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin) is the original ownership document issued by the manufacturer for a new trailer. It functions similarly to a birth certificate for the trailer before a state title is created.
Customers purchasing a new trailer will receive the original MSO along with their bill of sale at the time of purchase.
Registration & State Requirements
Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with the registration, titling, tax, insurance, and towing requirements that apply to their trailer and intended use.
Requirements can vary based on trailer size, weight, and the states in which the trailer will be operated or traveled through.
When registration or titling is required, customers will typically take the MSO and bill of sale to their local County Clerk's Office or DMV, where the MSO is surrendered and a state-issued title and registration are created.
